Cook – Kitchen Team Member - Now Hiring

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and adaptable Cook to join our kitchen team. This role requires flexibility to handle food preparation, order execution, inventory monitoring, and kitchen organization while maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and food safety. Previous experience with Indian food is not required — we will provide training. Candidates must be willing to learn, follow instructions, and contribute positively to the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor kitchen tickets and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Heat, cook, fry, or reheat food using a microwave, gas cooktop, or fryer as required.
• Plate, garnish, package, and prepare completed orders for pickup or delivery.
• Learn and become familiar with all menu items and food names.
• Label all prepared food stored in coolers with the appropriate date and discard expired or spoiled food immediately.
• Perform kitchen prep work, including cutting vegetables, boiling potatoes, and preparing base gravies according to standard recipes.
• Work on multiple food orders simultaneously while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Monitor inventory of raw ingredients and food packaging supplies, and notify the manager well before stock reaches critical levels.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.

Work Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Working Hours: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Includes a 1-hour unpaid meal break
• Additional hours may be required during busy periods or special events, with overtime paid in accordance with applicable labor laws.
  
  Requirements
• Food Handler Certificate is required.
• Must be willing to learn and contribute to the team.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong multitasking and time management skills.
• Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and instructions accurately.
• Ability to lift heavy pots and kitchen supplies as needed.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
