Job Description
As an ETL Migration Engineer, you will support our client’s Data Integration Engineering squad to migrate existing Informatica and SnapLogic workflows to a modern, cloud-native or open-source ETL platform. You will analyze and document ETL logic, categorize workflows, and create migration artifacts. You will automate repeatable tasks using Python, Groovy, Java, Jenkins, APIs, and shell scripting, and collaborate with architecture, data engineering, and business stakeholders to define sequencing and priorities. You will contribute to infrastructure as code deployments on AWS and Azure and provide on-call support during releases and incidents.

Rate: $70.00 to $75.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:- Execute ETL migration initiatives from Informatica and SnapLogic to modern ETL or open-source frameworks.
- Analyze, document, and categorize ETL workflows by complexity, domain, and criticality.
- Create migration inventories, source-to-target mappings, and transformation summaries.
- Develop automation to streamline migration and administration using Python, Groovy, Java, Jenkins, APIs, and shell scripts.
- Leverage developer-assistant tools to identify ETL patterns and translate them to target constructs.
- Partner with architecture, data engineering, and business teams to define sequencing and priorities.
- Configure and deploy solutions on AWS and Azure using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Support release management, on-call rotation, and incident resolution.
- Apply Kubernetes and serverless patterns where appropriate.
- Proven ETL migration experience, including moving Informatica workflows to open-source or cloud-native frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of ETL architecture, data integration patterns, and relational data concepts.
- Hands-on Informatica experience as a developer or administrator.
- Proficiency with automation and scripting using Python and related tooling.
- Experience with DevOps pipelines and tooling such as Jenkins and Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Experience deploying in AWS and Azure, including Infrastructure as Code.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and serverless architectures.
- Experience using AI developer-assistant tools to assess and translate ETL patterns.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with on-call support, incident resolution, and release management.
- Bonus: Certifications in Informatica or other ETL tools, and certifications in Azure or AWS.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate.
