Welder / Fabricator
Express Employment Professionals is proud to partner with a rapidly growing tractorparts manufacturing facility in Mendota, IL. We are seeking experienced Welders and Fabricators who take pride in highquality work and are ready to join a fastpaced, teamoriented environment. Pay
$26.40/hr
Schedule
- Training: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Regular Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on tractor components and assemblies
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop orders, and technical drawings
- Use scales, rules, squares, gauges, and samples to verify part conformance
- Tack weld and follow proper sequencing to prevent distortion or warping
- Adjust welding settings (current, voltage, electrode type/size) for proper fusion
- Inspect parts for defects; grind or file as needed to ensure proper fit
- Complete welding operations in booths or on the assembly floor
- Safely move components using hoists or hand trucks
- Perform firstpiece inspections and inprocess quality checks
- Change wire reels, clean wire guides, and maintain welding equipment
- Report equipment issues or part concerns to the Supervisor
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Lift up to 50 lbs and use warehouse equipment to pull/check parts
- Wear and maintain all required PPE
- Work any shift as needed based on production demands
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
