MS-IL Staffing & Packaging and its local clients are NOW HIRING for Mid Shift Forklift Operator in the Plainfield, IN, area!
- Position: Forklift Operator
- Shift: 11:00AM – 7:00PM
- Pay: $17/hourly plus $1hr attendance bonus
- Location: Plainfield, IN
Job Summary:
- The warehouse Forklift Operator associate is responsible for the receipt, shipment, recording and disbursement of goods to or from various locations using stand up, sit-down and walkie rider forklifts (MUST KNOW ALL 3). Reports to warehouse supervisor.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assembly of product, order picking, packing, RF scanning of product.
- Applicants must be able to work safely and productively within the warehouse environment and provide high-quality service to our customers through safe, efficient, damage-free, cost-effective and accurate storage and handling.
- Performs warehouse functions including order picking, packing, and assembly of product
- Use of handheld scanners/equipment for warehouse management system compliance
- Assists in cycle counts, auditing and physical inventories.
- Follows company procedures and policies to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Adhere to company safety policy and guidelines to ensure safe working conditions for self and others.
- Works cooperatively with other warehouse associates.
- Participate in keeping the facility maintained in a clean, neat and orderly fashion.
- Work on heights 40-60 feet up and not afraid heights
- Additional duties assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Experience Using Stand Up, Sit-Down and Walkie Rider forklift Required
- Basic mathematical skills
- Must be able to understand and take direction in English or Spanish for training.
- Ability to read/write and interpret documents
- Warehouse experience required
Physical Requirements:
- Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping duration of shift.
- Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight up to 50lb.
- Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
