Classification: Full-Time, Exempt
Hours: School-Day Hours, Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
Position Summary The Guest Teacher is a school-based professional dedicated to ensuring instructional continuity across grades K-8. Operating as an "in-house" substitute, this individual is at the school every day to provide classroom coverage for planned and unplanned absences and may even serve as a long-term substitute when extended absences occur.
Key Responsibilities
- Instructional Continuity: Execute lesson plans provided by K-8 teachers with high fidelity to ensure students remain on pace with the Core Knowledge curriculum.
- Long-Term Coverage: Step into extended classroom roles as needed, assuming responsibilities for lesson planning, assessment, record keeping, and parent communication in alignment with PCKs academic expectations.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment using PCKs established behavior standards.
- Operational Support: When not scheduled in a classroom, supervise non-instructional areas (hallways, cafeteria, recess), provide instructional aid (intervention, assessments, group work), and assist with administrative tasks (front office support, projects, proctoring).
- Collaboration: Participate in professional development to stay aligned with school goals.
- Coordination: May support administration in the coordination of substitute teachers and maintaining records of substitute assignments
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution (Required).
- Valid Colorado Teaching License (Preferred).
- Prior K8 teaching or classroom experience (Preferred).
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and classroom technology.
Anticipated Start Date: July 29, 2026 or as soon as possible
Anticipated Starting Salary and Benefits
The anticipated starting salary range for this position is $55,000-$60,000, depending on experience and skill level.
