Pharmacy Technician

Greenpark has been an independent compounding pharmacy in Houston since 1992, making custom medications for physicians across ophthalmology, urology, dermatology, ENT, hormone therapy, and med spa. We're hiring a certified pharmacy technician to run the front of the pharmacy: greeting patients, taking in and dispensing prescriptions, and keeping the counter moving. It's a hands-on, customer-facing role with room to grow your technical skills, plus exposure to the marketing and administrative side of an independent pharmacy.

The schedule is steady: 9:00 to 5:30, Monday through Friday, no nights or weekends. If you like patient contact, careful work, and a busy pharmacy that stays organized, we'd like to hear from you.

Helping patients

• Greet and help every customer and patient, in person and on the phone
• Answer questions, pull in a pharmacist when needed, and keep customers satisfied
• Protect patient confidentiality under HIPAA and company standards

Prescriptions and the register

• Process prescriptions: translate SIG codes, count and measure, label, and cap or uncap vials and bottles
• Keep prescriptions prioritized and moving through the workflow while holding quality assurance standards
• Run the register for cash, check, and card, and bag completed sales
• Handle prescription pick-ups per policy: complete the pick-up log, verify the customer's address, make the offer to counsel, and direct them to the pharmacist or intern
• File and retrieve prescriptions according to state and federal law
• Communicate with healthcare professionals when state law permits
  

Inventory

• Follow inventory policies to keep the pharmacy in stock, using replenishment reports
• Pull outdated, damaged, or recalled merchandise and prepare it for return
• Put away drug orders as permitted by law (excluding CIIs)

Keeping the department running

• Comply with federal and state law and Greenpark's policies and procedures
• Keep the pharmacy clean, organized, and professional
• Support scheduling, complete required training, and handle any required reporting
• Take part in store operational meetings
  

What we're looking for

• Certified pharmacy technician who meets Texas licensure requirements
• At least 16 years of age
• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods and using the pharmacy computer system
• Able to perform the full range of duties above
  

Pay, hours, and benefits

• $15 to $20 per hour, depending on experience
• Full-time, 8-hour shifts
• 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday
• Health insurance and paid time off
