Crate Builder / Material Handler
Location: Sacramento, CA
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Temp
Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Crate Builder / Material Handler to join our warehouse team in Sacramento. This position focuses primarily on building custom shipping crates and pallets for industrial equipment, with additional responsibilities involving packaging, quality inspections, and general material handling.

Responsibilities
- Build custom wooden crates and pallets according to shipping specifications
- Interpret order pick lists to determine packaging and shipment requirements
- Package products securely to prevent damage during transit
- Perform quality control inspections prior to shipment
- Weigh, label, and prepare packages for shipping
- Inspect packages and shipping containers to ensure they meet shipping standards and regulations
- Assemble daily shipments by destination or shipping category
- Assist with general warehouse duties and material handling as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3–5 years of experience building custom crates and pallets preferred
- 3–5 years of warehouse packaging experience
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to read work orders and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
