Compounding Pharmacist / Pharmacist In Charge

Greenpark Compounding Pharmacy has compounded custom medications for Houston physicians and their patients since 1992. We work with ophthalmology, urology, dermatology, ENT, hormone therapy, and med spa providers who need formulations they can't order off a manufacturer's shelf. We're hiring a Pharmacist In Charge to run our sterile and non-sterile compounding operation.

This is a leadership position. You'll direct daily operations across both labs, supervise the staff, and own scheduling, compliance, safety, and training. If you've got compounding and management experience behind you and you're ready to run a department, read on.

The role

• Supervise prescription compounding, dispensing, and patient care
• Keep the sterile and non-sterile labs compliant with state, federal, and industry requirements
• Build the weekly production schedule and adjust it to the workflow
• Verify dosage, directions, and therapeutic appropriateness on every order
• Manage inventory: proper storage of drugs and chemicals, and pulling outdated stock before it's dispensed
• Run regular risk assessments and enforce safety policies for staff and the public
• Help develop the written policies and procedures for technicians and other staff
• Build the training and competency evaluations for everyone who compounds or supervises compounding
• Keep licensing and equipment current with state and federal requirements
• Coach the team and take corrective action when it's needed

What we're looking for

• PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy
• Licensed with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
• Sterile Compounding Certification
• Compounding and management experience
• Detail-oriented and organized, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• A clear communicator who works well with the team and handles confidential information with care

Pay and schedule

• $50 to $60 per hour
• Full-time or part-time
• Health insurance
