DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports treatment programming and mental health services for youth by combining clinical expertise with guidance for staff and residents. It involves planning, coordinating, and providing therapeutic services while ensuring compliance with standards and facility expectations. As a Psychological Services Specialist, DHS, you will perform the following duties:
- Program Evaluation: Review treatment programming and address areas needing improvement
- Team Collaboration: Participate in planning meetings with staff and clinical consultants
- Staff Training: Provide instruction and role modeling to support skill development for direct care staff
- Clinical Supervision: Conduct supervision conferences to ensure quality resident care
- Service Coordination: Assist in developing treatment plans and make recommendations for specialized programming
- Direct Counseling: Deliver individual, family, and group therapy and prepare related assessments and reports

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours include the following shifts with a 30-minute lunch: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. You will work Tuesday - Saturday, with regular days off being Sunday and Monday.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $69,086.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A master's degree in a behavioral science, counseling education, rehabilitation, human development or a closely related field.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
