Production Associate/Forklift operator – Seasonal Harvest Job Description
Join a leading agricultural company during harvest season as a Production Associate. In this role, you will support seed production and processing operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work alongside a dedicated team to ensure quality products are processed, packaged, and prepared efficiently while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Monitor product quality and identify issues during processing and packaging operations.
- Package, label, stack, and move finished products according to established procedures.
- Complete required production documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Perform cleaning, housekeeping, and sanitation duties throughout the facility.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and handling materials during peak harvest activities.
- Follow all safety policies, environmental requirements, and operational procedures.
- Support team members with additional production-related tasks as directed by supervisors.
Essential Skills
- Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or agricultural experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Ability to read, write, and understand work instructions.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and extended shifts during harvest season.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are helpful.
- Experience operating production equipment is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Prior experience in agriculture, seed processing, or manufacturing is a plus.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Forklift experience or certification is beneficial but not required.

Work Environment
This position is based in a production and processing facility and may involve exposure to grain dust, noise, moving machinery, and varying indoor and outdoor temperatures. The role requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift, with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Required personal protective equipment may include steel-toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and high-visibility gear. Overtime and weekend work should be expected during peak harvest operations. Regular, reliable attendance is essential to support business needs and production schedules.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
