Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is a hands-on leadership role tasked with managing daily maintenance operations while performing advanced mechanical, electrical, and equipment repairs. The role ensures the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of production and facility equipment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Schedule coverage, prioritize work orders, and coordinate activities across multiple maintenance functions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and continuous improvement practices.
- Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment and facility systems.
- Conduct mechanical repairs, pneumatic system maintenance, and welding as needed.
- Perform in-house electrical work, including troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.
- Assist with equipment modifications and improvements to protect company assets.
- Open, assign, and close work orders using the CMMS while maintaining accurate equipment and parts records.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate replenishment as needed.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, and service documentation.
- Document maintenance actions and communicate priorities, issues, and status updates across teams and leadership.
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Extensive experience troubleshooting and performing electrical/mechanical repairs.
- Experience working on pneumatic systems.
- Basic knowledge of PLCs.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Welding, PLC troubleshooting, hydraulics, and plumbing skills.

Work EnvironmentWork in a large manufacturing facility overseeing the maintenance of equipment and machinery. The position operates on the 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with flexibility on start times if needed. Occasional work on Saturdays may be required, though this is rare.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Vista, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $76960.00/yr.
