Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob Description

The Maintenance Technician is a hands-on leadership role tasked with managing daily maintenance operations while performing advanced mechanical, electrical, and equipment repairs. The role ensures the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of production and facility equipment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule coverage, prioritize work orders, and coordinate activities across multiple maintenance functions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment and facility systems.
  • Conduct mechanical repairs, pneumatic system maintenance, and welding as needed.
  • Perform in-house electrical work, including troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems.
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.
  • Assist with equipment modifications and improvements to protect company assets.
  • Open, assign, and close work orders using the CMMS while maintaining accurate equipment and parts records.
  • Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate replenishment as needed.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, and service documentation.
  • Document maintenance actions and communicate priorities, issues, and status updates across teams and leadership.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive experience troubleshooting and performing electrical/mechanical repairs.
  • Experience working on pneumatic systems.
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Welding, PLC troubleshooting, hydraulics, and plumbing skills.

Work Environment

Work in a large manufacturing facility overseeing the maintenance of equipment and machinery. The position operates on the 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with flexibility on start times if needed. Occasional work on Saturdays may be required, though this is rare.

This is a Permanent position based out of Vista, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $76960.00/yr.
