We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support a dynamic manufacturing facility in Devens, MA. This is an excellent contract opportunity to play a key role in fostering a safe, compliant, and sustainable workplace while partnering with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine workplace safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
  • Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
  • Track and report key EHS performance metrics, including:
    • Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR)
    • Lost Time Accidents
    • Near Misses
    • Safety Observations
  • Support Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), risk assessments, and ergonomic evaluations.
  • Maintain all required EHS documentation, permits, licenses, and regulatory records.
  • Assist with investigations involving workplace incidents, injuries, near misses, and environmental events.
  • Participate in root cause analyses and help implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support environmental sustainability initiatives and waste reduction programs.
  • Coordinate and deliver EHS training for employees, contractors, and visitors while maintaining training records.
  • Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety awareness campaigns.
  • Assist during regulatory inspections and internal/external audits.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field required.
  • 2–5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing, industrial, production, or warehouse environment.
  • ASP or CSP certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS reporting systems is a plus.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour
