American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care / Cardiac Telemetry position in Hawaii, requiring a valid HI RN license and at least 1 year of acute care experience.

- Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) within a hospital setting \n
- 15-bed unit comprised of 3 Step-Down ICU beds and 12 telemetry beds \n
- Patient ratios: 1:4 for Progressive Care, 1:3 for Step-Down ICU \n
- Key procedures include primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring, telemetry strip reading, and fingerstick blood glucose testing \n
- Equipment includes continuous cardiac monitors, BiPAP, and Pyxis medication dispensing \n
- Charting via Meditech \n
- Varied shift schedule, 36 hours per week (after the first week of orientation) \n
- No on-call requirements \n
- Floating required to all acute care units in-house, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ED \n
- 13-week contract \n

- Active Hawaii (HI) RN license required by start of assignment — candidates without one must apply upon acceptance of offer \n
- Current BLS/BCLS required \n
- Minimum 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year \n
- Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred \n
- ACLS preferred \n
- Current PALS preferred \n
- NIHSS certification preferred \n

- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of assignment; this appointment is held at the facility's Employee Health office and attendance is mandatory \n
- Travelers should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start date in order to attend the Employee Health appointment on Friday morning \n
- COVID-19 vaccination required \n

- Float responsibilities span all acute care units in the facility \n
