**Ultrasound Technologist Opportunity** **Job Description:** - Are you ready to take your career in Diagnostic Ultrasound to the next level? - Join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in detecting anatomical abnormalities using high-frequency sound waves! **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform ultrasound procedures efficiently while adhering to departmental protocols to complete exams within designated time frames. - Manage daily clerical duties utilizing various computer systems, including EPIC and Tele tracking, for seamless patient scheduling and record-keeping. - Conduct portable ultrasound exams, bringing care directly to patients wherever needed. - Utilize advanced ultrasound techniques to identify masses, abscesses, and stones, assisting physicians with complex procedures like biopsies and color-flow ultrasounds. - Prepare medical supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is ready for patient examinations. - Educate and prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort. - Evaluate the technical quality of images, documenting and archiving necessary data in compliance with standard procedures. - Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. - Contribute to a collaborative environment by providing technical assistance and instruction to students, new employees, and medical residents. - Lift and move equipment as necessary, demonstrating physical capability in a fast-paced environment. - Greet patients with warmth and professionalism, adhering to A.I.D.E.T. standards for exceptional service. - Adhere to all hospital policies, including attendance and punctuality, fostering a culture of reliability. - Embrace the diverse needs of the patient population through tailored care and effective communication. **Required Qualifications:** - Hold a BLS certification. - Proficient in operating ultrasound equipment and knowledgeable about its functions. - Familiarity with cross-sectional anatomy and relevant safety protocols. - Commitment to ongoing professional development and CEU credits. **Preferred Qualifications:** - At least 1 year of clinical experience in ultrasound. - Specialized skills in breast ultrasound imaging, pathology knowledge, and familiarity with BI-RADS® descriptors. - Experience with ultrasound-guided biopsy assistance and specimen handling. **Soft Skills:** - Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care. - Excellent communication and active listening abilities. - Strong organizational skills with a critical thinking mindset. - Adaptability and problem-solving skills to navigate challenging scenarios. - Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit, promoting interdisciplinary communication. - Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical decision-making. **Education Requirements:** - Graduate of an approved Ultrasound School. - Minimum of 2 years of training in Allied Health/College. - Successfully registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with a Breast (BR) specialty or equivalent. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
