\n Job Description – Registered Nurse (OB/L&D – Travel Contract)\n

Position: Registered Nurse (OB/Labor & Delivery)
Specialty: Obstetrics (OB RN)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 3 x 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to obstetric and newborn patients.
\n
• Independently care for patients during antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn phases.
\n
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
\n
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
\n
• Accurately document patient care using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
\n
• Float to other units within the candidate's competency and skill set as needed.
\n
• Participate in on-call rotations and weekend coverage as assigned.
\n

Required Qualifications\n

\n
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License (NYC License required at the time of submission)
\n
• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience
\n
• Recent experience in:\n
  \n
  • Antepartum
  \n
  • Intrapartum (Labor & Delivery)
  \n
  • Postpartum
  \n
  • LDRP
  \n
  • Newborn Nursery
  \n
\n
• Experience using EPIC electronic medical records
\n

Required Certifications\n

\n
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
\n
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
\n
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
\n

Preferred Certification\n

\n
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM/ERM)
\n
• Additional certifications in:\n
  \n
  • Low-Risk Maternal Care
  \n
  • High-Risk Maternal Care
  \n
\n

\n

Candidates without EFM or maternal care certifications may still be considered based on the depth and relevance of their OB clinical experience.

Schedule & Contract Details\n

\n
• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
\n
• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
\n
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
\n
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (rotating)
\n
• On-Call: Required
\n
• Floating: Required within scope of practice and skill set
