Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a CT/X-Ray Technologist with 3+ years of experience for a 13-week night shift contract at a small rural critical access hospital in South Carolina.

• Small 25-bed rural critical access facility
\n
• Dual CT and X-Ray technologist role
\n
• Adult and pediatric patient populations across acute care and outpatient settings
\n
• Procedures include CT of the abdomen, pelvis, chest (including vascular/CTA), head, neck, sinuses, spine, and musculoskeletal studies
\n
• Image post-processing includes 3D rendering (MIP, surface shaded, volume rendering), multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and ROI measurement
\n
• Equipment includes GE, PACS, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba systems
\n
• Epic EMR experience required
\n
• 3x12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM, Sunday through Tuesday
\n
• May float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility
\n
• No on-call requirement
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Minimum of 3 years of CT/X-Ray technologist experience required
\n
• Current ARRT (CT), ARRT (R), and BLS certifications required
\n
• SCRQSA certification required
\n
• SC license required at time of consideration — no pending licenses accepted
\n
• Prior travel experience required
\n
• First-time travelers will not be considered
\n
• Community hospital experience required
\n
• Must be able to work independently in a small, rural facility setting
\n
• Proficiency with contrast media preparation and administration, peripheral IV placement, and radiation safety protocols
\n
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
\n
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
\n
• Copy of certifications, driver's license, and SSN card required
\n
• 2 supervisory references required
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Performs CT and X-Ray imaging across a broad range of studies including vascular, trauma, and contrast-enhanced exams
\n
• Responsibilities include isolation precautions/PPE compliance and age-specific competency across all patient populations from neonate to older adult
\n
• Teaching hospital and Level I/II Trauma experience preferred
\n
• Local candidates are accepted at the local pay rate
\n
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 5 years before being eligible to return as a traveler
\n
• Time off requests should be kept to a minimum, with no requests during the first two weeks of the assignment and no full calendar weeks off; all RTO must be approved prior to start
\n
• Holiday coverage is expected
