Start Date: August 10, 2026

Location: Eureka, California – Northern California coastal region

\n

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 16:30), every other weekend required. Caseload up to 25 patients. May float between units based on departmental needs. 13-week assignment (91 days).

Requirements:\n

  • Active California RN license
  • \n
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital case management experience required
  • \n
  • Acute care experience must be current within the last year
  • \n
  • Experience with HMOs, IPAs, and managed care organizations
  • \n
  • Knowledge of advance directives, POLST, and protective services processes
  • \n
  • Proficiency with Epic charting system required
  • \n
  • Skills in discharge planning, care coordination, DRG, appeals and denials, and prior authorizations
  • \n
  • Understanding of CMS guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and Joint Commission standards
  • \n
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • \n
  • Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
