**Exciting Opportunity for an Emergency Department RN Supervisor on NOC Shift** **Job Description:** - **Reports To:** Charge Nurse - **Position Summary:** - Join a dynamic team where you will be at the forefront of patient care in the Emergency Department! - Handle a wide spectrum of medical conditions, injuries, and acute illness with expertise and precision. - Multi-task efficiently to deliver premium care to all patients. - Collaborate with the emergency room team leader and acute care nurse to ensure top-notch patient outcomes. - **Position Qualifications:** - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. - Current licensure in good standing in the state of California. - 1 year of experience as an Emergency Department nurse preferred. - ACLS, PALS, and CPR certification. - NRP and TNCC required within one year of hire date. - **Position Responsibilities:** - **General Competencies:** - Demonstrate professional behavior on duty and as a representative of the organization. - Collaborate effectively with all levels of staff and patients. - Showcase strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Maintain positive working relationships with patients, visitors, and facility staff. - Exhibit excellent organizational ability and time management skills. - **Specific Competencies:** - Conduct individualized patient assessments and prioritize care based on immediate needs. - Develop and implement a personalized plan of care in collaboration with the healthcare team. - Perform treatments accurately and timely as ordered by physicians. - Execute all assigned tasks with precision (e.g., EKGs, blood draws, IV starts). - Provide individualized patient and family education. - Document comprehensive patient assessment findings and progress accurately. - Initiate emergency resuscitative measures per protocols. - Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and family interactions. - Provide care in a respectful and sensitive manner, preserving patient dignity and rights. - Adhere to safety and infection control standards in all care delivery. - Support nursing staff in other departments as needed. - Uphold high professional standards for patient care and communicate any concerns through the appropriate channels. - Follow medication administration and narcotics control procedures diligently. - **Professional Requirements:** - Adhere to dress code and maintain a neat, professional appearance. - Complete annual education and maintain regulatory requirements. - Wear identification while on duty. - Participate in annual evaluations and engage in professional development. - Report to work punctually and adhere to scheduled hours. - Attend required meetings and exhibit the organization’s mission and ethics. - **Working Conditions:** - Willingness to work beyond normal hours when necessary. - Engage effectively with personnel, visitors, and agencies as needed. - Function independently and demonstrate integrity, flexibility, and teamwork. - **Physical Requirements:** - Sit, stand, bend, lift, walk, and move intermittently during working hours. - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
