Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department Supervisor position on the NOC shift at a critical access hospital in California, requiring an active CA RN license and TNCC certification.

  • Work setting is a 121-bed critical access hospital with 22 acute care beds and 99 long-term care beds
  • \n
  • Emergency Department (ED) unit
  • \n
  • Patients present with a wide spectrum of medical conditions, injuries, and acute illness or trauma
  • \n
  • NOC shift: 4:00 PM – 4:30 AM
  • \n
  • 13-week contract
  • \n
  • 36 hours per week
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active CA RN license in good standing required
  • \n
  • Certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC
  • \n
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required; at least 1 year of ED nursing experience preferred
  • \n
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • \n
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • \n
  • DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
  • \n
Additional Information\n

  • Reports directly to the ED Manager and Charge Nurse
  • \n
  • Responsibilities include individualized patient assessment, developing care plans, performing treatments as ordered, EKGs, blood draws, IV starts, and initiating emergency resuscitative measures
  • \n
  • Provides patient and family education and maintains thorough, timely documentation
  • \n
  • Assists nursing staff in other departments when needed and qualified
  • \n
  • Professional appearance and adherence to dress code required
  • \n
  • Must be able to work independently, demonstrate flexibility, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
