Job Description:

Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) responsible for providing patient care in a stepdown setting. This role will involve working with a range of patients including those with heart failure, Afib, respiratory distress, and stroke.

\n

Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Administer and titrate medications such as Cardizem, amiodarone, and nitroglycerin.
\n
• Read and interpret telemetry strips and manage CPAP equipment.
\n
• Collaborate with charge nurses who maintain a full patient assignment.
\n
• Participate in a 1-12 hour shift department-specific orientation.
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
\n
• Driver's license for confirming a distance of 50 miles from the facility.
\n
• Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas.
\n
