American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience across invasive cardiology, electrophysiology, and vascular procedures, with Epic proficiency required.

  • Work setting includes a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab and EP lab

  • Modalities covered include invasive cardiology, electrophysiology, and vascular
  • \n
  • Procedures include stent placement, cardiac ablations, paracentesis, peripheral angiography (upper and lower extremities), abdominal and pelvic studies, vascular studies, venous access, and hemodynamic monitoring
  • \n
  • Additional procedures include PCI, PTCA, left and right heart catheterization, TAVR, Watchman, ASD closures, ECMO, Impella insertion, rotablator atherectomy, EP studies, pacemaker and AICD insertion, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, IVC filter placement, TIPS, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, carotid stenting, dialysis graft interventions, and endovascular interventions

  • Primary equipment includes Philips single and bi-plane systems; Siemens experience preferred
  • \n
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • \n
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • \n
  • Weekend requirement approximately once every fifth week
  • \n
  • Call shifts required, ranging from 5–8 shifts depending on staffing needs
  • \n
  • Holiday coverage is required
  • \n
  • No float requirement
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required; 3 years preferred
  • \n
  • ARRT or RCIS (CCI) certification required
  • \n
  • BLS required
  • \n
  • Louisiana State Radiologic Technology (LSRT) license required if applicable — temporary LSRT accepted (typically issued within 3–5 days upon fee payment and proof of ARRT certification)
  • \n
  • Proficiency with Philips single and bi-plane equipment required
  • \n
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • \n
  • Experience with invasive cardiology, electrophysiology, and vascular procedures required
  • \n
  • Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
  • \n
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
  • \n
  • Driver's license copy required for consideration
  • \n
  • At least two recent manager references required for consideration
  • \n
  • Any license disciplinary history must be disclosed
  • \n

  • Responsibilities include scrubbing and maintaining sterile field, room circulation, accurate hemodynamic monitoring, and EKG lead placement
  • \n
  • Scrubs are provided by the facility
  • \n
  • Orientation modules are completed prior to start and vary by specialty; allied health modules typically range from 2–4 hours
  • \n
  • Candidates living within 75 miles of the facility are accepted at a local rate
  • \n
  • Former permanent employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
  • \n
  • RTO of 5 days or less per contract is expected; excessive RTO requests are strictly monitored
