American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN Charge Nurse for an Inpatient Rehab unit, requiring at least 13 weeks of Epic experience and prior managerial experience.

- Free-standing 49-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital serving adults with high acuity needs \n
- Dual role combining charge nurse and bedside RN responsibilities on the Inpatient Rehab unit \n
- Patient population includes stroke, brain and spinal-cord injury, amputation, and complex orthopedic cases \n
- Patient ratio of 1:7 \n
- Uses mobility equipment including ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, and slide boards, along with vital sign machines, EKG machines, and BGM devices \n
- Charting completed in Epic EMR \n
- Night shift schedule from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM \n
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required \n
- On-call requirements apply \n
- No float requirements currently, though floating to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes may be required in the future \n
- Unit functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit and all nurses assist CNAs and respond to call lights as needed \n

- Active WI or Compact RN license required \n
- Current BLS certification required (AHA certifications required) \n
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or another 24/7 skilled care environment required \n
- Minimum 13 weeks of Epic EMR experience required \n
- Prior managerial experience required \n
- Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred \n
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months \n
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full time \n

- Serve in a dual capacity as charge nurse and direct patient care provider on a high-acuity inpatient rehab unit \n
- Facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF for Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation and Stroke Specialty Programs \n
- 30-minute unpaid break required each shift, along with two paid 15-minute breaks during a 12-hour shift \n
- Staff must clock out for breaks and are not permitted to stay past shift end time without supervisor approval \n
- Local candidates are not accepted for this position \n
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible \n
- First-time travelers may be considered for this role \n
