American Traveler is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for a 13-week acute care assignment working primarily with a pediatric outpatient population on a Monday–Friday day schedule with no weekends or holidays.

- Acute care hospital setting with primary focus on outpatient speech-language pathology services \n
- Occasional inpatient coverage may be required in addition to outpatient duties \n
- Primarily pediatric patient population with diagnoses including language/speech delay, autism, Down syndrome, and articulation/phonological disorders \n
- Daily patient caseload varies \n
- Day shift schedule, Monday–Friday, typically 8:00am–5:00pm or as patients are scheduled \n
- 8-hour shifts with no weekend or holiday requirements \n
- Epic EMR used in this position \n
- 13-week contract \n

- Master's degree (MA or MS) in Speech-Language Pathology required \n
- Active Nebraska SLP license or valid temporary Nebraska SLP license required; license required if applicable \n
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an SLPA or SLP required \n
- Current BLS certification required \n
- Valid driver's license required \n
- Medication Aide certification preferred \n
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with interdisciplinary rehabilitation team members and support staff \n

- Works within a rehabilitation department under a Physical Therapist as Department Director, with one additional SLP on duty \n
- Rehab aides are available to support the department \n
- Department-specific orientation details will be discussed during the interview process \n
- Dress code consists of a polo top with scrubs or jogger-style activewear bottoms \n
- CPR certification (included under BLS) must be maintained throughout the assignment \n
