American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Acute position requiring Epic EMR experience and an active CA RN license for a night shift contract.

- Acute care hospital Med/Surg unit (Med/Surg Acute 9) \n
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts \n
- 36 or 48 hours per week available \n
- Epic EMR used; experience is required \n
- \n
- Active CA RN license, unrestricted and currently in hand \n
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) \n
- Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association) \n
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience, with clinical work performed within the last 3 months \n
- Epic EMR experience required \n
- No prior adverse actions or hits on RN license \n
- Two supervisor references required: one from within the past year and one from within the past two years \n
- Skills checklist for Med/Surg completed within the past year required for consideration \n

- Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients per assigned shift \n
- Develops and prescribes nursing care plans consistent with the medical plan of care, incorporating patient and family input \n
- Collaborates with physicians and the broader healthcare team to coordinate patient care across all age groups \n
- Incorporates patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall care plan \n
- Delegates appropriate aspects of care to other nursing staff based on competency and legal scope of practice \n
- RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer; requests exceeding this will result in automatic decline \n
- BSN is preferred but not required \n
