Join Our Team as a Dietary Supervisor!

Pinnacle Point Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Dietary Supervisor to help lead our Food & Nutrition Services Department. If you have a passion for providing outstanding customer service, preparing quality meals, leading a team, and creating an exceptional dining experience for residents, we'd love to meet you.

As the Dietary Supervisor, you'll work closely with the Dietary Director to oversee daily kitchen operations, supervise dietary staff, maintain food safety standards, and ensure residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals that meet physician orders and individual dietary needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in healthcare food service, long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, hospital dietary services, or senior living communities.

ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Supervision
  • Assist in supervising the daily operations of the Dietary Department.

  • Lead, coach, and support dietary aides, cooks, and kitchen staff.

  • Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on resident satisfaction.

  • Assist with scheduling, training, onboarding, and performance coaching.

  • Ensure department staffing meets operational needs.

Food Service & Meal Preparation
  • Assist with food ordering, receiving, inventory, and proper food storage.

  • Oversee meal preparation and food production to ensure quality, consistency, and presentation.

  • Ensure meals are prepared according to standardized recipes and physician-prescribed diets.

  • Make approved menu substitutions using nutritionally equivalent foods when necessary.

  • Monitor portion control and meal service accuracy.

  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.

Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with:

    • Food safety regulations

    • State and Federal regulations

    • Infection prevention standards

    • Department of Health requirements

    • CMS guidelines

  • Monitor safe food handling, sanitation, and temperature logs.

  • Ensure dietary staff consistently follows food safety procedures and kitchen sanitation standards.

  • Assist in preparing for state surveys and regulatory inspections.

Administrative Duties
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and department meetings.

  • Assist with developing and updating dietary policies and procedures.

  • Complete required documentation and department records accurately.

  • Step into dietary staff roles as needed to support daily operations.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in dietary services, food service, hospitality, healthcare, hospital, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, assisted living, or long-term care preferred.

  • Certified Food Protection Manager or Food Safety Certification required (or ability to obtain according to state regulations).

  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential preferred.

  • Graduate of an approved Dietary Manager training program preferred.

  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition in healthcare settings preferred.

  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards.
