Job Description

The Piqua Center is seeking a dynamic, highly organized, and proactive Assistant Operations & Events Coordinator to join our management team. This multifaceted role is central to our daily success, encompassing everything from tenant relations and property management to maintaining an active, vibrant community presence. The ideal candidate will seamlessly balance administrative duties—such as answering inquiries and managing rent collection—with hands-on event planning and ensuring the overall cleanliness and presentation of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

1. Event Coordination & Promotion (High Emphasis)

  • Collaborate on the planning, organizing, and execution of signature community events (e.g., themed festivals, seasonal markets, automotive shows, and holiday events).
  • Assist with on-site event logistics, setup, vendor coordination, and breakdown.
  • Actively engage with visitors and vendors to cultivate an energetic, welcoming atmosphere during public hours and special functions.

2. Property Operations & Cleanliness

  • Maintain a strong, visible on-site presence throughout the mall to assist tenants, guests, and vendors.
  • Oversee and ensure the absolute cleanliness and pristine presentation of the entire mall facility, including common areas, walkways, and event spaces.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs and coordinate closely with the maintenance team to promptly address facility needs.

3. Tenant Relations & Office Administration

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for the Piqua Center management office, professionally handling incoming phone calls, emails, and general public inquiries.
  • Assist with day-to-day leasing inquiries, showing available spaces to prospective tenants, and facilitating lease paperwork.
  • Support the management team with general administrative tasks, scheduling, and operational updates.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Previous experience in property management, hospitality, event planning, or high-level administrative support is highly preferred.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a polished, professional phone demeanor.
  • Organization: Strong multitasking abilities; comfortable managing administrative workflows while staying hands-on with events and floor operations.
  • Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for property cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings, to support major mall events and community gatherings.
  • Personality: Upbeat, approachable, and community-minded with a "no task is too small" attitude.
