Job Description

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• AA degree, two years of post-secondary coursework, or a passing score on the Idaho Paraprofessional Praxis competency exam is preferred

• If you do not currently meet the education or exam requirement, you must be willing to complete the necessary coursework and/or pass the Praxis exam after hire to remain eligible for continued employment

Must be patient, supportive, and work well with children and adults. Position includes assisting students with disabilities in core content classes as well as small group instruction,and providing behavioral and academic support. Proficiency with basic reading and math skills is needed.

Pay is based upon the classified salary schedule, column B. Starting rate is $17.12 DOE

 

Employees working more than 20 hours per week qualify for benefits partially paid by the district including PERSI, medical, dental, vision and life insurance. Additional supplemental options such as accident, disability, etc. are also available.
