Addison Group is partnering with our client to hire an HR Generalist. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys recruiting, onboarding, and supporting day-to-day HR operations in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
Job Description:
The HR Generalist will play an integral role in supporting the employee lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on recruitment, onboarding, and HR administration. This position works closely with hiring managers and employees to ensure a smooth hiring process, maintain accurate HR records, and provide exceptional internal support. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the full recruitment process, including reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and support the hiring process.
- Maintain applicant tracking and HR records within HRIS and ATS platforms.
- Ensure new hire documentation is complete and entered accurately into HR systems.
- Lead onboarding activities, including new hire paperwork, orientation preparation, and employee welcome sessions.
- Assist employees with HR-related questions and provide guidance on available resources.
- Prepare and maintain personnel files, employment documentation, and HR records.
- Process employment verifications, personnel action forms, and other HR administrative paperwork.
- Track compliance-related documentation and assist with record retention.
- Support employee recognition initiatives and other HR programs.
- Participate in recruiting events, job fairs, and outreach activities as needed.
- Assist with volunteer and internship program coordination.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience working in a Human Resources department.
- Experience using an HRIS and Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Previous experience supporting recruiting and onboarding.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Details:
- Contract-to-hire opportunity with an initial contract of 3+ months.
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM; Friday, 7:30 AM–11:30 AM.
- 100% onsite during training, transitioning to a hybrid schedule with at least one in-office day each week.
