Landscaper/ Grounds Maintenance

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Landscaper/Grounds Maintenance professional to manage the year-round upkeep of various commercial and residential properties. This full-time role focuses on ensuring landscapes and exterior spaces remain clean, safe, and visually appealing through hands-on care and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Mow, edge, and trim lawns using push, riding, or zero-turn mowers.
• Plant, fertilize, water, and prune trees, shrubs, and flower beds.
• Pull weeds, lay mulch, aerate soil, and clear leaves or debris from sidewalks and pathways.
• Safely operate and maintain landscaping power tools and heavy machinery including leaf blowers, chainsaws, tillers, and tractors.
• Complete seasonal landscaping tasks such as planting seasonal flowers, trimming overgrowth, and winterizing plants.
• Remove litter, shovel snow, and spread salt or sand to maintain site safety.
• Perform basic pest control and plant care to preserve landscape health.
• Interact professionally with tenants and contractors as needed.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in landscaping and grounds maintenance.
• Physical stamina to work outdoors in varied weather and perform manual tasks.
• Basic knowledge of plant and turf health, soil conditioning, and disease/pest identification.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain landscaping machinery.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial and residential landscaping experience.
• Commercial pesticide applicator license or certifications from organizations such as the Professional Grounds Management Society.
• Skills in mulching, lawn mowing, seasonal plant care, and equipment maintenance.
• Basic digital literacy, including use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Strong communication skills for effective tenant and contractor interaction.

Additional Information

• Work mostly independently or as part of a team, reporting directly to the Facilities Manager.
• No travel required between property locations; assigned to specific sites.
• Standard working hours only; on-call availability is not required.
