Job Description
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Recruiting and staffing logistics
o Prepares job postings, reviews’ resumes, sets up interviews, and conducts interviews.
o Serves on employee selection committee or meetings
o Responsible for all new-hire paperwork and initial setup in payroll system
o Responsible for all termination procedures
• Regulatory compliance and reporting
o Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), American Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and
Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Department of Labor (DOL), worker compensation, and so
forth.
• Training and development
o Assists with implementation of newly designed training program
o Assists with selection of training programs
o Provides necessary education and materials to managers and employees
o Maintains employee training records
o Responsible for tracking of performance evaluations
• Policy development and documentation; including employee handbook
o Responsible for the Drug-Free workplace policy enforcement
• Employee relations
o Assists with the development of Human Resources policies for the company with regard
to employee relations.
o Participates in the conduct of investigations when employee complaints or concerns are
brought up
o Advises managers and supervisors about the steps in the progressive discipline system
of the company. Counsels managers and supervisors on employment issues
o Tracks and posts Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)-required data
and files reports
• Compensation and benefits administration
o Assists with the monitoring of the company wage and salary structure
o Day-to-day benefits administration services. Assist employees with any issues
o Develops and schedules fringe benefit orientations and other fringe benefits training
o Administers disability and worker’s compensation claims
o Reviewing timecards daily
o Tracking of all leave (vacation, sick, personal, etc.)
o Recommends changes in benefits offered
• Other job duties as assigned
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
• General knowledge of employment law and practices.
• Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs
• Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
• Effective oral and written communication
• Proven record of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
• Excellent organization skills
