Press Operator

A Shift - Monday thru Thursday 6:00a-4:30p - Overtime as needed

B Shift - Sunday thru Wednesday 6:00p-4:30p - Overtime as needed (Shift differential)

C Shift - Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:00a-6:30p - Overtime as needed

D Shift - Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 6:00p-6:30a - Overtime as needed (Shift differential)

Requirements:

• Must have at least 6 months + experience running a press.

Job Duties:

• Set dies and set-up related feed equipment.
• Perform first piece approval of production parts.
• Select and load coils.
• Be knowledgeable of and follow safety rules and practices. Use proper lockout procedure and do not place hands or body inside die if press is not locked out.
• Observe quality of your parts regularly, perform required quality checks, and do the required quality documentation on time. Contain any bad or suspect quality parts and do not allow them to get in with the rest of the parts. Report any quality problems promptly to your supervisor and/or quality personnel. If in doubt – stop and ask questions.
• Perform operator preventative maintenance on press and related equipment as assigned.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and order to your operation and area.
• Fill out and submit required paperwork as assigned. This includes but is not limited to production counts, scrap counts, downtime, quality records, die-set documentation and check-off sheets.
• Be knowledgeable of and operate press as specified speeds and rates.
• Participate in problem-solving and improvement activities including Kaizen teams.
• Follow plant rules and regulations.
• Work as part of a team to achieve world-class production, quality, changeover times, safety performance, and housekeeping and organization.
• Works in a safe manner and follows safety rules and practices.
• Has successful experience in problem-solving, improvement.
