Parts Washer/ Steambay Tech

Our client, a leading motor repair shop dedicated to precision and quality, is seeking a Parts Washer/ Steambay Tech to join their team. As a Parts Washer/Stembay Tech, you will be an essential part of the manufacturing department supporting the shop operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Parts Washer/ Steambay Tech

Location: Gillette, Wyoming

Pay Range: $18-$22 or DOE

Shift: Monday-Friday @ 5am-3pm

What’s the Job?

• Operate steam cleaning bay equipment to remove grease, oil, dirt, and debris from industrial components (motors, housings, bearings, rotating equipment, and related parts)
• Operate parts washer stations (solvent or aqueous) following manufacturer and safety guidelines
• Disassemble/reassemble minor components as needed to access all surfaces for cleaning
• Inspect cleaned parts for visible damage, wear, or contamination and report findings to shop supervisor or technicians
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the steam bay and parts washing area
• Properly handle, store, and dispose of used solvents, oils, and cleaning waste in accordance with environmental and safety regulations

What’s Needed?

• Ability to work in a hot, humid, and physically demanding environment
• Ability to lift and maneuver components up to 50 lbs regularly, and up to 75 lbs with assistance
• Basic mechanical aptitude; ability to identify and handle industrial components
• Willingness to work around chemicals, solvents, and steam equipment following safety protocols
• Ability to work in both indoor shop conditions and near open bay doors with seasonal temperature variation
• Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and reachin
