Job Details- Position: Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Location: Saginaw
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Shift: Night Shift
- Schedule: 3×12
- Experience Required: 2 Years
- Weekly Pay: $2100 to $2290
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring intermediate-level care and continuous monitoring
- Perform detailed patient assessments and monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and neurological status
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor patients with cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and post-surgical conditions
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, recovery, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and hospital quality initiatives
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting recovery and positive outcomes
- Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Step-Down, or Telemetry nursing experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- Current ACLS Certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry interpretation, and caring for medically complex patients
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and multitasking skills
- Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
