Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
This role focuses on assembling trailers by installing non-welded parts and decals, performing basic systems diagnostics checks, and supporting a variety of production tasks as needed. You work as part of an all-hands-on-deck team in a physically demanding environment, contributing to the efficient and accurate assembly of products during a first-shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- Install all non-welded parts and decals on trailers according to specifications and quality standards.
- Perform systems diagnostics checks to ensure proper functioning of installed components.
- Carry out light installation tasks, including floor installation on trailers and other assembly-related work.
- Use hand tools and power tools such as screwdrivers and other basic mechanical tools safely and effectively.
- Accurately read and interpret tape measurements to complete precise assembly work.
- Support general production and assembly line operations as needed, demonstrating an all-hands-on-deck team mindset.
- Operate basic machinery and equipment related to mechanical assembly and general production tasks, as directed.
- Assist with mechanical assembly work that may involve blueprint or work instruction interpretation, when required.
- Perform general labor duties associated with trailer assembly, including lifting, moving, and positioning parts up to 50 pounds.
- Follow safety guidelines and use required personal protective equipment to maintain a safe work area.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation in a hot and dirty production environment.
- Adapt to changing priorities and perform any job duty necessary to support production goals.
Essential Skills
- Mechanical skills sufficient to perform basic mechanical assembly and installation tasks.
- Basic computer skills to support production-related activities, such as following digital work instructions or logging information.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and apply measurements to assembly work.
- Proficiency using hand tools, including screwdrivers, and basic power tools in a production setting.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds as required by the physical demands of the job.
- Comfort working in a very physical role that involves standing, bending, and moving throughout the shift.
- Experience with assembly, production, and general labor tasks in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Ability to work on an assembly line and meet productivity and quality expectations.
- Willingness to work first shift from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., including overtime and Saturdays as needed.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain awareness in a busy production environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with mechanical assembly of trailers or similar large products.
- Experience in general production, machine operation, or forklift use in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading or following detailed work instructions for assembly tasks.
- Previous experience using a variety of hand tools and power tools in an industrial or construction setting.
- Comfort working in a hot and dirty environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Open to a 90-day, open-ended contract-to-hire arrangement with potential for long-term employment.
- Ability to present a professional appearance for on-site interviews and work, including appropriate footwear.
- Strong teamwork mindset and willingness to perform any job duty necessary to support production goals.

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing facility focused on trailer assembly. You work on first shift from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with the expectation of working overtime and Saturdays when production requires it. The environment is hot and dirty, with significant physical activity including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and moving around the production floor. You use hand tools, power tools, and basic machinery in an assembly line setting, following safety guidelines at all times. For on-site interviews and work, you are expected to look presentable and wear steel-toe footwear; hats are not permitted in the work area.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.47 - $25.47/hr.
