Job Description
This Welder/Fabricator role focuses on producing high‑quality welded products while safely and efficiently operating welding tools and equipment to meet established quality and production standards.
Responsibilities- Perform wire feed (MIG) welding on a variety of parts and assemblies in a fabrication and weld shop environment.
- Read and interpret blueprints and work order routings to understand job requirements, dimensions, and specifications.
- Use a tape measure accurately to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet required tolerances.
- Lay out parts using weld fixtures to prepare components for welding and assembly.
- Follow written and verbal instructions to complete welding and fabrication tasks in the correct sequence.
- Inspect welded components for quality, accuracy, and adherence to company standards.
- Maintain welding tools, equipment, and work area in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
- Apply critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot issues related to fit, weld quality, or fabrication processes.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work, clarify requirements, and support production goals.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while working with welding equipment and in a fabrication shop setting.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a fabrication and weld shop environment, working with MIG welding equipment, weld fixtures, tape measures, and other standard fabrication tools. Available schedules include a first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with mandatory Saturday overtime initially, and a third shift from 6:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, or optional 12‑hour shifts Monday through Thursday to have Fridays off. A shift premium of $1.75 is offered for the third shift. The environment is production‑focused, hands‑on, and safety‑oriented, with expectations for proper work attire suitable for a fabrication and welding shop.
