We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to join an in-office legal team in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This position supports two attorneys with a mix of litigation-related work and broader legal administrative responsibilities, making it a strong fit for someone who is organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to case preparation, court filing activity, and day-to-day practice support within a collaborative office environment.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare, review, and submit court documents through electronic filing systems while ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met.
• Support attorneys with litigation matters by organizing case materials, tracking developments, and assisting with discovery-related tasks.
• Maintain calendars for hearings, filings, meetings, and other key legal deadlines to help keep matters on schedule.
• Draft, format, and revise legal correspondence, pleadings, and other documentation based on attorney direction and dictated notes when needed.
• Coordinate and manage case files, ensuring records are complete, accessible, and updated throughout the life of each matter.
• Communicate with courts, clients, and outside parties regarding filings, scheduling, and document handling as appropriate.
• Provide day-to-day office support for two attorneys, balancing active case needs with general legal assistant and paralegal functions.• Prior experience working in a paralegal or legal assistant role within a law office setting.
• Hands-on knowledge of electronic court filing procedures and related documentation standards.
• Familiarity with civil litigation processes, including discovery support and court document preparation.
• Strong calendar management skills with the ability to monitor and prioritize time-sensitive deadlines.
• Excellent organizational abilities and close attention to detail when handling legal records and filings.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with attorneys, courts, and external contacts.
• Ability to work onsite in Akron, Ohio and manage responsibilities in a fast-paced legal environment.
