Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs for milling and turning operations while ensuring high-quality production, efficiency, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs using CAM software.
· Set up and troubleshoot CNC mills and lathes.
· Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
· Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters.
· Perform first-piece inspections and verify dimensional accuracy.
· Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve machining processes.
· Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.
· Maintain program documentation and revision records.
· Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
· 3+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Proficiency with CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM, or similar).
· Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC machine operations.
· Experience with 3-axis and/or 5-axis machining is preferred.
· Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
· Knowledge of GD&T and machining best practices.
· Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
