Job Description

Multiple full-time contract roles are now available at the elementary level, each offering a unique chance to make a meaningful impact. Assignments begin July 27, 2026 and run through May 21, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, one school per assignment, and on-site engagement throughout the contract term.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- CO DOE Teacher license with Special Education Generalist (ages 5–21) endorsement
- Expertise supporting students with mild/moderate or severe emotional, behavioral, and cognitive disabilities (assignment dependent)
- Strong collaboration skills with colleagues, therapists, and paraprofessionals
- Experience using CPI, de-escalation strategies, ABA principles, or Denver model (for applicable roles)
- Track record of developing individualized learning and behavioral plans
- Familiarity with autism spectrum supports and, for some roles, prior work with students who have severe disabilities
- Organizational skills, adaptability, and genuine enthusiasm for student-centered teaching
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based instruction and behavioral supports tailored to student needs
- Manage a small, self-contained classroom or lead a small team of paraprofessionals (assignment dependent)
- Collaborate with related service staff (speech, OT, psych) in push-in/push-out or station-based settings
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment
- Effectively communicate with parents, staff, and administrators
- Complete time-sensitive credentialing and district-required documentation prior to assignment
