Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Post Acute Long Term Care (LTC) position in Maine, requiring a ME or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of RN experience.

• Long-term care (LTC) and skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting
\n
• Unit options include a 31-bed Alzheimer's/dementia specialized unit (3 East), a 42-bed Transitional Rehabilitation Unit (TRU) focused on short-term skilled nursing and rehab, and a 42-bed general long-term care unit (3 West)
\n
• Patient population includes Alzheimer's/dementia residents, long-term care residents, and short-term rehab patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other conditions
\n
• Nursing services may include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management
\n
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
\n
• Floating to other units required as needed
\n
• Schedule requires flexibility to support 24/7 coverage
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active ME RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
\n
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
\n
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
\n
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
\n
• Strong teamwork and communication skills required
\n
• Medical terminology preferred
\n
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary care team
\n

• Provides direct and indirect care to residents and patients in partnership with a multidisciplinary care team
\n
• Care for Alzheimer's/dementia residents requires proficiency in both verbal and non-verbal communication techniques and an understanding of behavioral expressions as valid communication
