Position Details\n

MetroWest Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner with Internal Medicine experience to provide full-time inpatient coverage. The provider will be assigned to the inpatient psychiatric unit; however, this role is strictly focused on managing patients' medical conditions and does not involve behavioral health responsibilities.

• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Full-time coverage required
\n
• No call responsibilities
\n
• On-site only (No Telehealth)
\n

Clinical Responsibilities\n

\n
• Medical consult service
\n
• Inpatient rounding
\n
• ED coverage as needed
\n
• Management of common medical conditions including:\n
  \n
  • Diabetes
  \n
  • Rashes
  \n
  • Sore throats
  \n
  • Medication consultations
  \n
  • Other general medical concerns
  \n
\n

Practice Setting\n

• Inpatient
\n
• Adult patients only
\n
• Approximately 10 patients per shift
\n
• 20-bed unit
\n
• Collaborative support from:\n

  • Advanced Practice Providers
  \n
  • Social Workers

Requirements\n

• Active Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner License Required
\n
• Internal Medicine experience preferred
\n
• Ability to provide full-time coverage
\n
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
