American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years of experience to perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures in a hospital setting.

• Cardiology reading unit within a hospital setting
\n
• Day shift, 5x8 hour shifts per week
\n
• 13-week assignment
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nuclear medicine program required
\n
• ARRT registered nuclear medicine technologist required
\n
• Current BLS certification required
\n
• License required if applicable
\n
• 2+ years of experience preferred
\n
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs independently and assist with patient transfers over 100 lbs using proper techniques or mechanical aids
\n
• Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures including radiopharmaceutical preparation, calculation, and administration as prescribed by a licensed practitioner
\n
• Position and prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and cooperation
\n
• Operate radiation detection and imaging equipment to complete procedures
\n
• Evaluate images for technical quality and proper identification
\n
• Assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures and verify informed consent
\n
• Perform venipuncture and practice aseptic techniques as needed
\n
• Initiate basic life support actions when necessary
\n
• Maintain patient records and confidentiality per policy
\n
• Provide instruction to students or other healthcare professionals as needed
\n
• Participate in departmental quality assessment and improvement initiatives
\n
• CRASE training required if assignment extends beyond 6 months
\n
• Work in a fast-paced healthcare environment with exposure to infectious materials and PPE protocols
\n
