American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel assignment at an acute care hospital in South Carolina, requiring 4+ years of OR experience and prior travel experience.

- Day shift position working 5x8-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 3:15 PM) \n
- Work setting is a 119-bed acute care hospital General OR \n
- On-call is required; weekday call hours are 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM, rotating with staff per the call schedule (call requirements may change based on staffing needs) \n
- Weekend coverage is typically every 4th weekend with weekday coverage \n
- Floating within scope to like units or sister facilities may be required to meet facility needs \n
- EMR system is Epic \n
- Surgical scrubs are provided by the facility \n
- Free parking is available on-site in any unrestricted space \n
- Performs a wide range of surgical procedures including gynecology, trauma, neurology, orthopedic/spine, general surgery, podiatry, ophthalmology, urology, and robotic-assisted cases \n
- Robotic experience with the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System is utilized \n
- Equipment includes the Hana Table \n
- Circulator role is required \n

- Active SC RN license or Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start (candidates with a pending SC license may be considered with proof of application or confirmation of SC walk-through eligibility, but will not be cleared to start until the license is active) \n
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS \n
- Minimum of 4 years of OR RN experience required \n
- Prior travel nursing experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered \n
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the standard travel rate; locals within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis \n
- Previous permanent or PRN staff of the MUSC health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler \n
- SSN is required for consideration \n
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; RTO requests submitted after will not be accepted \n
- \n
- Block schedule requests may be submitted for approval prior to the assignment but are not guaranteed \n
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November, with peak activity in August and September), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams \n
- Pre-start orientation modules average approximately 4 hours and are completed prior to the start date \n
- Candidates may only be considered for one MUSC unit or campus at a time \n
