What You'll Do
Manage divorce, custody, support, parenting time, and post-decree matters.
Represent clients in hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
Develop winning litigation strategies and negotiate favorable resolutions.
Draft motions, pleadings, discovery, and settlement agreements.
Build strong client relationships through exceptional advocacy and communication.
What You Bring

Compensation:$100,000 - $150,000
Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, spousal maintenance, and post-decree disputes, while delivering strategic and client-focused representation.
- Partner with attorneys and legal support teams to develop thoughtful case strategies that align with the firm’s commitment to exceptional client service, efficiency, and results-driven advocacy.
- Represent clients confidently in Minnesota courts, mediations, settlement conferences, and negotiations, advocating effectively while prioritizing client objectives and long-term outcomes.
- Draft, review, and finalize pleadings, motions, affidavits, settlement agreements, and other legal documents with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and compliance with Minnesota family law procedures.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff, contributing to a collaborative, high-performance team environment focused on continuous professional growth.
- Stay current on developments in Minnesota family law, court procedures, and emerging legal trends to ensure clients receive informed, strategic, and forward-thinking representation.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering responsive communication, practical guidance, and empathetic support throughout emotionally sensitive legal matters.
Qualifications:
- Experience handling Minnesota family law matters, including divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, and spousal maintenance, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional client representation.
- Ability to independently manage complex family law cases while providing strategic, personalized, and client-focused legal counsel throughout all stages of litigation and negotiation.
- Demonstrated success advocating for clients in Minnesota courts, mediations, settlement conferences, and contested hearings with confidence, professionalism, and strong litigation skills.
- Strong drafting, analytical, and case preparation skills, including experience preparing pleadings, motions, affidavits, discovery, and settlement agreements with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to develop creative legal strategies and deliver outstanding client outcomes.
- Experience mentoring junior attorneys or support staff while contributing to a positive, high-accountability, team-oriented culture focused on professional development and operational excellence.
- Strong knowledge of Minnesota family law statutes, court procedures, and emerging legal trends, with the ability to provide strategic and forward-thinking legal representation.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills, including the ability to guide clients through emotionally sensitive situations with empathy, responsiveness, and professionalism.
- An active Minnesota attorney license in good standing is required.
