Role Overview
The Welder I role is designed for recent vocational graduates or early-career welders with 0–2 years of experience. You will support fabrication, assembly, and rework of metal components used in custom enclosures, tanks, frames, and structural assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, Wire Welding, Spot Welding, and oxy/acetylene equipment.
- Clean, dress, and finish welds to meet ASC quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols.
- Prepare layouts using hand tools or material-handling equipment.
- Operate sanding, grinding, and finishing tools.
- Weld I-beams, frames, fuel tanks, enclosures, and structural parts in multiple positions.
- Clamp, tack, drill, tap, cut, or bolt components as required.
- Inspect parts, materials, and equipment.
- Validate weld quality and perform rework.
- Maintain welding equipment and request needed service.
- Assist with fuel tank pressure testing.
- Meet production deadlines while maintaining safety and quality.
- Document work performed, and report issues as needed.

- MIG Welding Certification or vocational welding program a plus.
- TIG Certification or vocational welding program experience a plus.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and management.
- Ability to travel between local company facilities as needed.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining attention to detail.
