Location: Grafton, OHJob Type: Full-TimeOverviewGrafton Oaks is seeking a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Director to oversee the physical plant operations of our skilled nursing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
We are willing to train the right candidate with strong general maintenance or facility repair experience. Prior nursing home experience is not required.
ResponsibilitiesOversee daily maintenance operations of the facility and grounds
Perform general repairs including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, and carpentry
Conduct routine inspections to ensure a safe and fully operational environment
Manage preventative maintenance schedules and complete required documentation
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and leadership
Coordinate outside contractors and vendors when needed
Maintain compliance with safety standards, fire codes, and OSHA regulations
Support facility readiness for inspections and surveys
Assist with room repairs, turns, and general upkeep of resident areas
General maintenance, handyman, or building repair experience required
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or mechanical systems
Ability to troubleshoot and complete hands-on repair work
Strong reliability, time management, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and respond to urgent issues
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience in healthcare, hotel, apartment complex, or commercial maintenance
Familiarity with preventative maintenance systems or facility logs
