Job Description
Peak Behavioral Health is seeking a pediatric Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join its interdisciplinary clinic in Oklahoma City, OK. Come join our team as we provide a comprehensive and collaborative approach in helping children with autism and other disabilities. Our clinic includes psychology, ABA, OT, and Speech services. At Peak, we strive to help children and families reach their highest potential.
The Position:
- Perform all planned and approved procedures under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist (MOTR/L)
- Perform small group and individual therapy based on client needs
- Provide family education and training to assist in transfer of skills
- Work in an outpatient, private-practice setting within clinic, home and community environments
- Maintain client records and treatment notes
Maintain confidentiality of patient records in according with HIPAA and State and Federal Regulations - Willing to travel to multiple clinic locations including Norman and Edmond with mileage reimbursement available.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- OK State Licensure as a COTA
- Experience with pediatric populations is preferred
- Excellent communication skills with other providers and families
- Must have great problem-solving skills
- Willing to collaborate amongst an interdisciplinary team
- Available for full time hours up to 40 hours per week.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proficient in using technology (Must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Office and familiar with EMR systems)
