**Job Description**
Data Platform Sales Executive – State & Local Government - New Jersey
Our Mission
Oracle’s State & Local Government team helps public-sector organizations use data, cloud, and artificial intelligence to better serve their communities.
State and local agencies are modernizing critical systems, strengthening cybersecurity and resilience, improving constituent experiences, and preparing their data estates for the next generation of AI. These organizations manage some of the most important and sensitive workloads in the country, and they need trusted technology partners who understand both their mission and the complexity of government transformation.
Our goal is to help agencies unlock the value of their data, modernize with confidence, and build secure, governed, AI-ready technology platforms that deliver measurable outcomes for the people they serve. We are looking for an experienced Cloud & Data Sales Executive to help lead that mission across an assigned State & Local Government territory.

You will own the strategy to develop new business, expand existing customer relationships, and create long-term growth across a defined geography or set of named accounts. You will work with government executives, technology leaders, agency stakeholders, partners, and Oracle specialists to identify high-value modernization opportunities and turn them into successful customer outcomes.
The strongest candidates will be builders. They will be comfortable creating demand, developing whitespace, earning executive access, navigating complex public-sector buying environments, and leading strategic sales cycles from initial discovery through adoption and consumption.
You will help customers address priorities such as:

• Establishing secure and governed data foundations.
• Preparing enterprise data for artificial intelligence.
• Improving analytics and data-driven decision-making.

• Coordinate Oracle account teams, cloud engineers, solution specialists, customer success resources, partners, contracts, marketing, and executive leadership..
• Understand each customer’s existing technology environment, modernization roadmap, security requirements, procurement processes, contract vehicles, budget cycles, and partner ecosystem..

• Develop executive-level value propositions that clearly connect Oracle technology to mission, operational, financial, and constituent outcomes..
• Engage systems integrators, independent software vendors, cloud partners, and other ecosystem participants to improve customer success and accelerate opportunity development..
• Maintain a high-quality pipeline, accurate forecast, clear opportunity strategy, and disciplined next steps..
• Stay engaged beyond the initial sale to support adoption, workload growth, customer value realization, and cloud consumption..
• Share customer feedback, market insights, and competitive intelligence with Oracle leadership, product teams, and go-to-market organizations..
