We have an opportunity for an experienced full-time Department Manager for our locally owned, residential HVAC services company. The Maintenance Department Manager is accountable to manage and develop a team of preventive maintenance technicians while providing our customers with the highest quality service experience in the local HVAC market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities are as follows:
- Recruit & retain a high-performing professional team of technicians
- Foster a culture aligned with Company values while leading, coaching, & developing team in support of departmental goals
- Monitor department KPI’s, customer feedback, financial results & operational metrics
- Conduct field site visits to observe, coach & develop team
- Lead the administration and continuous improvement of customer membership program
- Develop & deploy department strategies that drive revenue growth and employee & customer retention
- Plan & facilitate department meetings, technical & soft-skill training, & on-going growth opportunities for the team
- Manage admin duties to include payroll approval, vehicle maintenance, safety & customer questions & concerns
- Partner with all other departments to improve customer experience, support company initiatives, & achieve org goals
- Identify customer and marketplace trends & strategize to meet changing needs
- All other duties as assigned
Reports To: Director of Operations
Hours: M-F 8am – 5pm, Saturday Manager schedule on rotation
- 5+ years of management & leadership experience in a service industry; home services, construction, or skilled trades environment preferred
- Diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred
- High personal integrity & genuine desire to serve others
- Ability to understand & utilize financial statements, budgets & KPI’s to drive department performance
- Demonstrated passion for coaching & development of employees
- Strong communication skills to include verbal, written & presentation
- Strong computer aptitude with MS Office experience, & ability to utilize CRM & phone systems, scheduling software, and AI enabled customer communication tools
- Continuous improvement mindset
