Position Overview
MinuteClinic is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide high-quality, evidence-based primary and family care in a collaborative retail health setting. Providers work alongside a dedicated clinical care team to deliver comprehensive patient care focused on prevention, chronic disease management, wellness, and acute care services.
This is a safety-sensitive position, requiring candidates who are committed to delivering exceptional patient care while practicing autonomously in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Must have recent Primary Care or Urgent Care experience
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program
- Current National Board Certification (FNP)
- Active, unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner in:
- Primary Care
- Family Practice
- Urgent Care
- Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
- Ability to obtain additional state licensure as needed
- DEA registration may be required during onboarding
- Excellent communication, organizational, and clinical assessment skills
- Experience managing chronic disease and preventive care
- Comfortable practicing independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team
Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based primary and family healthcare services
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans
- Conduct routine physicals, wellness visits, and health screenings
- Manage acute illnesses and chronic medical conditions
- Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention
- Provide medication management and patient counseling
- Coordinate care with physicians and healthcare professionals
- Document patient encounters accurately within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Complete clinic opening and closing procedures
- Verify insurance and collect patient payments
- Maintain inventory and ensure clinic cleanliness
- Support quality initiatives and patient outcome improvement programs
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail clinic experience
- Multi-state licensure
- Experience with quality metrics and chronic disease management
- Strong EMR proficiency
- Ability to adapt to changing patient volumes and clinic workflows
