YARD GOAT DRIVER

We are hiring for a yard goat driver in the city of Carson.

The yard goat driver is responsible for moving trailers and containers safely and efficiently within a warehouse, distribution center, or terminal yard. The driver positions trailers at loading docks, maintains an organized yard, and communicates with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and truck drivers to ensure smooth operations.

Must have valid DL

Must be able to pass background & E-Verify check

Key Responsibilities:

• Move and position trailers between loading docks, parking areas, and staging locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the yard tractor (yard goat).
• Inspect trailers for visible damage and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Ensure trailers are properly secured before moving.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff and dispatch to prioritize trailer movements.
• Maintain accurate records of trailer locations and movements.
• Follow all company safety policies, DOT regulations (where applicable), and site procedures.
• Keep the yard organized to maximize efficiency and reduce delays.
• Operate equipment safely in all weather conditions.
